You're Powerful

Philippians 4:13 reads, "I can do all things through Him who gives me strength". This scripture screams, "you and I are powerful"! How profound is that? Is it easy to wrap your mind around the fact that you're powerful? To be quite honest with you, I have my days when I listen to the devil's lies, which of course robs me of my true stance in Christ. I lose my God's given power at times, because I chose to focus on the lies instead of God's word. 2 Corinthians 12:9 states, "But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me". Isn't God amazing? Outside of God, we're powerless--people will fail you, but God will never fail you. God's power reigns in our weaknesses -- meditate on that statement when you encounter the trials and pressures of this world. Rely on God always my sister -- I promise that He'll strengthen you.
Even if you don't initially believe that you're powerful, speak it over yourself, until it resonates in your spirit. Instead of speaking defeat, speak victory because God's spirit resides in you. "For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline" - 2 Timothy 1:7. I want you to know that you can get through any hardships that comes your way, because God's word is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, etc. (Hebrews 4:12). Once you truly start believing that you're powerful because of who God is in your life, watch Him move spiritually on your behalf. You're going to be astonished!
Listen to me, when I went through my divorce, I literally felt as if my world was coming to an end. In other words, I felt defeated and hopeless-- I truly didn't know how I was going to pick up the pieces and put them back together. At that particular time, it was extremely challenging because I was mourning the loss of the marriage, not only for myself, but also for my very young daughter. But guess what? My world changed for the better, the moment the Holy Spirit helped me to switch my focus to God and his greatness -- from the loss of the marriage. During the shifting process, the Holy Spirit reminded me that I could do all things through Christ who strengthens me (the scripture that I started the blog with) -- this literally propelled me to walk in my pre-ordained power. You're probably wondering if I was able to pick up the pieces--I sure did!
My sister, you can do it as well -- walk in your power and pick up the pieces! Acts 1:8 reads, "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
