God is In the Waiting

I don't know about you, but I know that I don't like to wait for anything! I'm fully aware that one of the the fruits of the spirit is, "patience" --Galatians 5:22. God knows that I've made some careless decisions based on the lack of patience. I allowed my self-absorbed plans to overshadow God's perfect plans for my life. In retrospect, I can't believe that I could have the audacity to think that executing my plans would work out best for me, instead on waiting on God's plans to come to fruition. The good book states, "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future-Jeremiah 29:11. My sister, I'm going to share a secret with you that I learned the hard way--here goes! When you step out of God's plans for your life, you're directly or indirectly allowing the devil's plans to infiltrate your life--You can simply avoid the infiltration of heartache by waiting because "God is in the Waiting"!

Psalm 27:14 reads, "Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord". Whatever it is that you're expecting from your Creator, will be fulfilled--I know this in my spirit! In the interim, it may seem as if God is not hearing your prayers, you may even feel alone or unworthy of what you're expecting from Him. But I'm here to tell you to pray and worship God in the waiting because this is where He's going to prepare you to receive His best! Think about it, who knows you better than our Abba, Father in Heaven? No one!

By no means am I trying to minimize the challenge of waiting for something that you truly want. I've been there many times--I remember wanting to become a mother more than anything else in this world. It wasn't happening when I wanted it to happen, I actually thought that I couldn't have children because of the length of time it was taking me to conceive. Hello! It wasn't God's timing for me when I wanted to have a child--so, I cried a lot of tears many days as well as nights. Today, I have two beautiful grown folks that call me, Ma (music to my ears). Look at God!

God is in the waiting, my sister, so don't lose hope and please rebuke the devil's lies. Lamentations 3:25 reads, "The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him". But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint-Isaiah 40:31. I choose to continue waiting on the Lord, regardless of what I see in the natural and I encourage you to do the same my sister!
