Some women might base their self-worth on being a wife, a mother, a daughter or even a best friend. When was the last time that you stepped back from any title that you operate under and really thought about your self-worth? I've scurried through many, many years living for others, but not knowing my "true" worth; however, I've evolved! Do you have a clear understanding of why God created you? According to the bible, "You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). This is so amazing to me, to know that we have been chosen by God--we're His possession! He didn't choose us because of our successes--He chose us because He loves us beyond measures. Wow, we're a royal priesthood--wrap your mind around that for a second.
Knowing your worth simply means that you see yourself through the lenses of God. How do you accomplish this? You accomplish this by taking a deep dive into the word of God. Don't depend on the world to determine who you are because that could change from one day to the other--But God's depiction of you will never change. (Romans 12:2) reads, "Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect".
You're more than enough because you're a child of the most High God! "But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong" (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).
