Overcomer

As women, for the most part, we're natural nurturers--we just want to ensure that everyone and everything is good! However, how do you feel, when you're unable to, "fix it"? "It" could mean, protecting your child from an abusive situation; financially assisting someone that is in need or being able to assist someone that you know is struggling with addiction. Whenever, I find myself at a place of discontentment -- Lord knows that I've been in this mindset quite often--However, I run to the word of God! John 16:33 reads, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus was actually speaking to His disciples in this particular passage of the bible-- but this is also relevant for us today. Jesus has overcome the world; therefore, I know the victory has already been won--Hallelujah!

The world is filled with uncertainties, more so, today than it has ever been, so how are you navigating each moment? Is life just passing you by or are you worrying from one moment to the other? John 14:27 states, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." Today, my sister, I'm encouraging you to rely on the Holy Spirit, to fill you up with the peace of Christ. Philippians 4:7 reads, "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." Money cannot buy this peace, praise God for Jesus! The only way to obtain God's peace is to stay in dialogue with Him and to have a clear understanding that He'll provide everything you need, in His perfect timing. Philippians 4:6 reads, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

We're all "overcomers" because the same spirit that raised Lazarus from the dead, resides in us!
